Terms of Service
1. Agreement
By using Gridwatch (thegridwatch.com, thegridwatch.app, and related services), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. The service
Gridwatch provides access to a registry of data center facilities compiled from public records, along with related analysis and tools. Features vary by subscription tier as described on our pricing page.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information. One account per person unless otherwise agreed.
4. Subscriptions and payment
Paid tiers are billed in advance through our payment processor. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period. Fees already paid are not refunded except where required by law or at our discretion. We may change pricing on notice; changes take effect at your next renewal.
5. Acceptable use
You may not:
- Resell or redistribute the data in bulk without a license.
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract the registry beyond the export limits of your tier.
- Misrepresent Gridwatch data as your own original research.
- Use the service to harass any person, or to target any facility or its staff.
- Attempt to circumvent access controls or tier limits.
6. Your use of the data
Registry content is licensed to you for your internal business or personal use. You may cite Gridwatch. Attribution is welcome and encouraged — being cited is the point. Bulk redistribution, resale, or building a competing dataset from our output requires written permission.
7. Accuracy and no warranty
The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. See our Disclaimer. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gridwatch LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms. You may stop using the service at any time.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted here with a revised effective date; continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Venue lies in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, Florida.
